Perimenopause Has Entered the Group Chat

Perimenopause doesn’t knock. It joins the conversation mid-sentence.
Suddenly:
- Your body has opinions.
- Your emotions have volume.
- Your patience has left the building.
And while it can feel disorienting, there’s something oddly refreshing about it.
Perimenopause often strips away the parts of us that were running on obligation. The “shoulds” get heavier. The “no’s” get easier. You may notice yourself caring less about things that once consumed your energy — and caring more about rest, truth, and comfort.
This isn’t selfishness.
It’s self-clarity.
There’s humor here too, if we let there be. Laughing at the absurdity of it all — the hot flashes, the emotional plot twists, the sudden need for snacks — can soften the edges.
You’re not broken. You’re not late.
You’re just in a chapter that wasn’t well explained.
And now, at least, you’re not reading it alone.
